NoW I’ve WoN

I heave as I lie

back to ground

Face to sky

Imagining all the ways

I’ve been birthed from this earth

My voice in the wind

Carried on breath

Pushed into the ears of the creatures

Who chose to observe my existence

The moment is a cage with the door open

Just enough

Saying,

“Don’t you want out of this

Make a run before you get locked in”

And I usually run.

But today

I sink

into the blanket of now

And let my body revisit

its home
